Getting Started

How to create new assets

On the home view, tap the pink plus button. This will open the native Photo picker. Choose a photo of your product by tapping on it. This will import the product photo, and automatically create 2 photoshoots and 1 background.

To create an asset for an existing product:

  • Navigate to the product page in the app.
  • Tap on Photoshoots or Backgrounds based on what you want to create.
  • Tap the pink Create button to open the Preset Selection panel.
  • Choose up to 3 presets to mix and match vibes.
  • Tap Create to start.

What's the difference between Photoshoots and Backgrounds?

Photoshoots show your product being used, or in a graphical setting. Photoshoot images always contain your product.

Backgrounds are images that contain empty spaces. They can be used to create social media posts or announcements that match the look and feel of your product.

How to download a created asset

If you are viewing the asset image in the grid, tap the Upwards Arrow icon to open the Share Sheet. Then, tap "Save Image" to save it to your photo gallery.

If you have opened the asset in the full immersive view, tap the Download icon on the bottom to save it directly.

Sharing an asset

On the asset image, tap the Paper Plane icon to open the system Share Sheet. From here you can send it to another app, or save it to your gallery.

Managing Content

How to delete an asset

Tap on the asset you want to delete to open it in immersive view. Tap the ellipsis (3 dots) icon on the bottom and select Delete this asset. Confirm your choice.

Note: Deleting an asset does not refund the credits used to generate it. Deleted assets cannot be recovered, so please use this only on assets you are truly okay with losing.

How to delete a product image

Tap on the product image you want to delete. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Delete this Asset…. Confirm your choice.

Warning: Deleting a product will delete all its generated assets. They cannot be recovered, so use this option carefully.

Credits & Subscriptions

How do credits work?

Generating images costs credits. When you buy a subscription plan, you receive a fixed monthly allowance.

  • Generating an image: Costs 1 credit.
  • Uploading a new product: Costs 3 credits (this covers the 3 images automatically generated upon upload).

How can I see how many credits I have left?

On the home view, tap the Menu (3 bars) icon to go to your Account Center. This page lists your current plan and renewal date. Scroll down to see your remaining credit balance.

If you run out of credits, you must wait for the next billing cycle for your credits to be replenished.

How can I get more credits?

We offer 2 plan levels. The Sprout plan offers more credits than the Seed plan. You can upgrade your plan to receive a higher credit limit.

How can I change my subscription plan?

Go to the Account Center (Menu icon). Tap Manage your subscription to switch plans. You can also tap Explore all plans to compare details before subscribing.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Go to the Account Center (Menu icon) and tap Manage your subscription. Below the list of subscriptions, tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Note: The "Cancel" button at the top of the sheet only closes the window; it does not cancel your plan. You must use the link at the bottom.

How can I request a refund?

To request a refund, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's instructions.

If a refund is granted, you may lose access to the remaining credits from that purchase.

Troubleshooting

Why am I not seeing the buttons to create new assets?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

  • You are not connected to the internet.
  • You have not subscribed to a plan yet.
  • You have run out of credits on your current plan.

Why does it show "Uploading" when I create?

For your privacy, we do not store your product photos on our server permanently. However, to generate a new AI asset, the product image must be temporarily uploaded for processing.

Why is my asset stuck at "Uploading"?

This is likely a network issue. PhotoLotus requires an active internet connection. Please check your connection. You are not charged credits for assets that fail to upload.

Usage & Rights

Can I use the assets commercially?

Yes, all assets created within PhotoLotus may be used for commercial purposes.

Do the assets contain a watermark?

Yes, assets generated on PhotoLotus contain an invisible watermark (SynthID). This helps platforms identify the image as AI-generated. This watermark is invisible to the human eye and does not affect the visual quality of your images.
